Dyvex Announces Upgraded Production Capabilities
As part of an ongoing, aggressive growth plan, Dyvex Industries, Inc., located in Carbondale, Pennsylvania, USA, announces a $1M plus expansion with the addition of two new production lines, as well as upgrades to existing lines, with new gravimetric feeding systems. Dyvex has added a Coperion twin screw compounding system with a Gala underwater pelletizer and Brabender gravimetric feeders. The 2nd production line is a state of the art, custom-designed Reduction Engineering cryogenic attrition mill and classifying system.
VP of Sales & Marketing, David Pettinato, who has been with the company since 1993, said, “As a company, we felt that this was the next logical progression for the continued growth of Dyvex. We are presently using Buss Kneader compounding equipment to meet the toll and custom needs of our customers, as well as our own proprietary products. With the addition of a co-rotating twin screw, we can broaden our spectrum of services to existing customers as well as expand our customer base with new capabilities and capacities. The new cryogenic attrition mill increases grinding capacity and allows for more flexibility to cryogenically grind nylon and polypropylene, and nicely compliments the company’s existing cryogenic hammer mills. Our two new systems will increase throughputs which will substantially reduce our lead times and allow us to offer more cost effective services to our customers. They also further enhance our capabilities to produce specialty thermoplastic additive concentrates and compounds in a broader range of polymers in either pellet or powder form, which is very unique, and places us on the cutting edge of technology in a highly competitive arena.”
Currently, Dyvex produces a myriad of concentrates and compounds that includes the addition of fragrances, odor countactants, fibers, minerals, anti-static, anti-fog, anti-microbial and other polymer-modifying agents. Dyvex specializes in compounding liquids, low melt point solids, heat sensitive polymers, hard to disperse additives, and highly loaded masterbatch formulations. As a specialty compounder and with in-house cryogenic grinding capabilities, Dyvex supplies high performance products to many different industry segments such as Injection molding, Rotational molding, Blow molding, Film and Sheet Industry, Pipe, Tube and Profile extrusion and more. Dyvex works with its customers from these segments and others to develop and supply additive concentrates and compounds that are used in all the major markets including; automotive, pharmaceutical, packaging, agricultural, construction, beverage, and many more.
